“Goodness of People“ is a project, where we collect funds for the unique children and youth center-town (5.88 ha area) in Lithuania.
In the summer of 2018, the living houses for the kids were started to build. In the 2018/2019 the following works will be carried out:
- the living houses for kids should be completed;
- cottage for water technique and water pumps will be completed;
- want to begin to build main building with kitchen and rooms for children activities.
Our mission: to provide material support for sick and healthy children, for children that experience difficult living conditions and social exclusion. We seek to provide treatment opportunities, to improve the conditions of children‘s learning and after-school activities, to help to integrate children into the life of a growing society.
What will be built? The space dedicated to various activities in the summer and in the winter. In the building, we plan to install cozy halls to organize activities, rooms to accommodate leaders/volunteers and a dining area where food is made with love.
Issue. Would you like your child to get the best conditions for spending purposeful time in the camp? That children would always be happy, surrounded by warmth and that they would live in good conditions? That their moods would not be influenced by weather or limited project budget, poor living conditions or unexpected changes of the tenants of the premises?
All of these issues are bothering us since the time we started organizing camps.
We organized them in Samogitian schools. However, such institutions can no longer accept us because of ongoing classes or the staff that is always in the school.
It is no secret that camps have a limited budget. As a result, in Lithuania it is especially difficult to find a place for a children’s camp for a period of 8-10 days, accommodating 35-50 participants and providing them with the best possible conditions.
But we are striving for that!

2014
2014 09 – the homestead has been purchased.
2015
2015 01 – territory building and landscape design works.
2015 01 – children houses‘ designing works. There will be 6 houses (60-80 sq.m.).
2015 03 – land management, planting works; 100 pieces of 3-4 meters height pinetrees and spruces planted; also 500 pieces of little spruces planted.
2015 04 – 100 pieces of blackberry shrubes planted in the garden.
2015 05 – raised garden beds made and 100 pieces of strawberry seedlings planted.
2015 06 – ponds‘ management works.
2016
2016 04 – continuing on land, forest management, planting on individual territories works. 100 pieces of deciduous trees planted. 1 ha of garden is being created.
2016 04 – fish breeding started.
2016 08 – geological gorund investigations conducted necessary for starting construction work and for calculating work estimate.
2016 09 – 60 m deep water bore excavaited. The main road of homestead paved.
2016 10 – raised garden beds bricked, where strawberries are continued to grow.
2017
2017 04 – almond trees and azaleas planted.
2017 05 – garden planted. In the summer, the first harvest of carrots, onions, cucumbers and herbs obtained, that was dedicated to organizing the meals for children in the camp.
2017 10 – documents for obtaining building permits started to to be prepared, work stimates are being calculated, work conracts are signed.
